The story

The Caprese pizza originated in Naples, where the culinary tradition has always valued fresh and local ingredients. Its exact origin is not well-documented, but it is believed to have emerged in the 1960s as a variation of the Margherita pizza, featuring fresh buffalo mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and basil to represent the colors of the Italian flag.
