Ingredients

  • 2 zucchini
  • 300 g of ground meat
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 100 g of pecorino cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g of flour
  • oil for frying

Method

  1. Prepare the zucchini: slice the zucchini thinly, salt for 10 minutes, then drain.
  2. Prepare the filling: sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil, add the ground meat and cook until fully cooked, add the zucchini, pecorino cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare the dough: mix the flour with the egg, add a bit of water to get a homogeneous dough.
  4. Form the empanadas: fill the dough pieces with the prepared filling, seal and form the empanadas.
  5. Fry: fry the empanadas in hot oil until golden and crispy.
