Ingredients

  • 400 g of chicken pieces
  • 100 g of butter
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon of cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon of red chili powder
  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of water

Method

  1. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and cook for 5 minutes, until the onions become translucent.
  3. Add the cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, ginger, cardamom powder, and red chili powder. Stir well.
  4. Add the chicken broth and water, bringing to a boil.
  5. Add the chicken pieces, reduce the heat, and cook on low for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Serve hot with basmati rice or bread.
