Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g of honey
  • 100 g of chestnuts
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar for pulling
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar for decoration
  • 300 g of pulled sugar

Method

  1. Prepare the dough: mix the flour, butter, sugar, pulled sugar, and salt. Add the warm water and eggs, mixing well until you get a homogeneous dough.
  2. Prepare the filling: cook the chestnut pieces, mixing with the honey.
  3. Shape the sweets: divide the dough into small balls and flatten them. Insert a small amount of filling in the center of each and seal the dough around the filling, forming a ball.
  4. Make the pulled sugar: mix the sugar with water and bring to a boil. Keep stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture has become opaque. Add the decoration sugar and pull the sugar.
  5. Decorate the sweets: dip the bunaost in the fresh pulled sugar and let them cool on a baking paper tray.
  6. Serve: serve the bunaost fresh, decorated with the pulled sugar.
