Ingredients

  • 400g of beef
  • 200g of veal
  • 200g of pork
  • 100g of pork fat
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons of dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of salt

Method

  1. Mix the meat, fat, salt, black pepper, chili powder, oregano, thyme, and parsley.
  2. Form the boerewors into long and thin sausages, ensuring the mixture is well distributed.
  3. Refrigerate the sausages for at least 2 hours.
  4. Preheat the braai to high heat and grill for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently for even cooking.
  5. Serve them hot with your favorite sauce.
