Beef Meatballs

Terni's beef meatballs are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a tomato sauce.

Ingredients
- 500 g of beef
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of toasted bread
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- olive oil
- 200 g of canned tomatoes
- 50 g of fresh basil
- 50 ml of red wine vinegar
- 50 ml of beef broth
Method
- Mix the beef, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Chop the onion and mix it with the meat preparation.
- Add the eggs and chopped toasted bread, mixing well to get a homogeneous consistency.
- Form the meatballs with your hands, making sure they are small for even cooking.
- Brown the meatballs in a pan with olive oil, then cook in boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the tomato sauce by mixing the canned tomatoes, fresh basil, red wine vinegar, and beef broth.
- Serve the meatballs with the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
