Ingredients
- 250 g glutinous rice
- 100 g of palm sugar
- 100 g of honey
- 100 g of coconut oil
- 100 g of shredded coconut
- 100 g of apples
- 100 g of almonds
- 100 g of sesame seeds
- 10 banana leaves
- 10 lotus leaves
- salt to taste
Method
- Prepare the glutinous rice: soak the rice for 30 minutes, then cook for 20 minutes in salted water.
- Prepare the apples: cut the apples into cubes and cook them in a little coconut oil with palm sugar and honey.
- Mix the ingredients: mix the glutinous rice with honey, palm sugar, coconut oil, apples, almonds, sesame seeds, and salt to taste.
- Package: place a banana leaf and a lotus leaf on a work surface, then add the rice and fruit mixture.
- Shape: wrap the mixture with the banana and lotus leaves, forming a cylinder.
- Cook: cook the bánh tét in boiling water for 30-40 minutes, until the leaves dissolve.
- Serve: let cool and serve cold or warm, garnished with fresh fruit.
