These Vietnamese doughnuts are crispy on the outside and soft inside, filled with a sweet jam or sugar mixture.

Ingredients
- 250g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 200g fruit jam
Method
- In a large bowl, mix flour with baking powder and sugar.
- Add the egg and milk, stirring until you have a smooth batter. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls about the size of an almond, then fill each one with approximately one teaspoon of jam.
- Seal the edges well and lightly flatten the balls to form flat discs.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown, turning frequently for even cooking.
