Bakso
A warm broth with small meatballs, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfect for a cozy winter meal.

Ingredients
- 200 g of ground meat
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 500 ml of beef broth
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 tablespoons of oil for frying
- Ginger curls and cilantro for garnish
Method
- In a pot, simmer the beef broth with finely chopped garlic and onion for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix the ground meat with the eggs, soy sauce, chili sauce, grated ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Form small meatballs by hand, wrapping each one in a piece of kitchen paper.
- Fry the meatballs in a bowl of hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- In another pot, pour the broth and bring to a boil, then add the meatballs and cook for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with ginger curls and cilantro before serving.
- Choose a warm bowl and serve the broth with the meatballs on top.
The story
Bakso originated in Indonesia, where they are prepared in various ways, but have become particularly popular as street food.
