Ingredients

  • 2 kg of salmon or pork (for the broth)
  • 1 kg of salmon or pork (for the dish)
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 100 grams of dried chili peppers
  • 200 grams of rose onions
  • 200 grams of seasonal vegetables
  • 100 grams of white onion
  • 100 grams of red peppers
  • 200 grams of asam pedas tamarind
  • 100 grams of lime shells
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method

  1. In a large pot, simmer the fish or pork for the broth for 30 minutes, adding water and spices.
  2. Strain the broth and let it cool.
  3. In a pan, fry the oil, onion, vegetables, and dried chili peppers over medium heat.
  4. Add the seasonal vegetables and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the broth, asam pedas tamarind, and lime shells, bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Grind the dried chili peppers and add them to the broth, mixing well.
  7. Strain the fish or pork and add it to the broth, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with rose onions and red peppers.
