Ingredients

  • 400 g of eel
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of butter
  • 150 g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 100 g of crushed almonds

Method

  1. Prepare the filling: boil the eel with butter and sugar until the eel is fully cooked. Drain and let it cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, egg, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add the eel filling and crushed almonds, mixing well.
  4. Prepare the pastry: roll out the pastry dough and place the filling in the center.
  5. Cover with the remaining dough and make cuts to allow the butter to release.
  6. Make the final cut and decorate with powdered sugar.
  7. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes, until the crust is golden and crunchy.
  8. Let it cool before serving.
