Witloof Carbonnade

Ingredients
- 200 grams of white cabbage
- 100 grams of beef
- 200 grams of witlof
- 200 ml of beef broth
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 basil leaves
- 2 rosemary leaves
Method
- Slice the white cabbage thinly and sauté it in a pan with olive oil until it becomes golden brown.
- Add the garlic and cook for a minute, then add the beef and cook until it browns.
- In a casserole, mix the beef broth, cooked white cabbage, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add the witlof, cover, and cook on medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes or until the beef is fully cooked.
- Finally, add the basil and rosemary leaves, stir well, and serve hot.
