Şakşuka
A delicious tomato and vegetable sauce typical of the Adana region in Turkey.

Ingredients
- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 2 zucchinis
- 1 green pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon fig seeds
Method
- Clean and dice the tomatoes, onions, zucchinis, and green pepper.
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onions lightly.
- Add the tomatoes, zucchinis, and green pepper, and sauté for about 10 minutes.
- Add salt, pepper, apple cider vinegar, and sugar, stirring well.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the fig seeds and stir for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve the Şakşuka hot over serving plates.
