Ingredients

  • 200 g of swordfish fillets
  • 100 g of potatoes
  • 50 g of onion
  • 200 g of mushrooms
  • 200 ml of fish broth
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped thyme
  • 200 ml of sea beer

Method

  1. Cut the swordfish fillets into square pieces and place them in a bowl.
  2. Mix the olive oil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  3. Add the fish to the sauce and mix well.
  4. Dice the potatoes and slice the onions.
  5. In a frying pan, sauté the potatoes and onions in a bit of oil.
  6. Add the mushrooms and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Pour the fish broth and sea beer into the pan and let it boil.
  8. Add the swordfish fillets and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  9. Garnish with parsley and thyme, then serve immediately.

Originating in the 19th century, Mysingsill is a recipe that reflects the creativity of Vest-Agder fishermen who began experimenting with new ways to prepare local fish, blending culinary traditions with the natural resources of the land.
