Maultaschen are a traditional specialty of German cuisine, rich in recipes and history.

Ingredients
- 300 g of wheat flour dough
- 200 g of pork meat
- 100 g of cooked ham
- 100 g of bacon
- 100 g of onion
- 200 g of meat broth
- 100 g of grana cheese
- 100 g of pecorino cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Method
- Prepare the dough by mixing flour with water and forming a ball. Divide into 4-5 pieces and let it rest.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic, then add the pork meat, cooked ham, and bacon, cook until the meat is cooked.
- Add the meat broth, grana cheese, and pecorino, stir and let it boil for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Maultaschen by wrapping the dough around the filling and sealing well.
- Fry the Maultaschen in a pan with hot oil until golden brown.
- Serve hot with a meat broth and cheese sauce.
The story
Maultaschen originated in the Swabia region, south of Bavaria, and have been popular in Stuttgart for centuries.
