Ma Po Tofu
A crunchy and spicy tofu dish served with a fiery and flavorful sauce.

Ingredients
- 400g of tofu
- 100g of pork belly or bacon
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons of Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespoon of chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder
- 1 red onion
- 1 tablespoon of macadamia nuts
- 1 tablespoon of water or broth
Method
- Cut the tofu into cubes and boil in salted water for 5 minutes, then cool with cold water.
- In a pan, sauté the pork belly or bacon and finely chopped garlic.
- Add the Sichuan peppercorns, soy sauce, shaoxing wine, and chili sauce.
- Add the tofu and stir well for 2-3 minutes.
- Finally, add the chopped red onions and bring to a boil.
- Cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, add the macadamia nuts and serve.
