Limpa
A traditional sweet bread from Skåne, rich in anise and spices.

Ingredients
- 500 g of flour
- 200 ml of warm milk
- 100 g of butter
- 100 g of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of anise powder
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, anise, and cinnamon.
- Add the warm milk and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Mix in the flour mixture with the yeast and salt.
- Mix until you get a homogeneous dough, then let it rest for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and shape the dough into a crescent shape.
- Let it rise for 15 minutes, then bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let it cool before serving.

Limpa is a traditional sweet bread from Skåne, a southern region of Sweden, with a history dating back to the 17th century. Originally, it was made during fasting periods to ensure carbohydrate intake.
