Ingredients

  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 100 grams of sesame seeds
  • 100 grams of sunflower seeds
  • 100 grams of pulled sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of water

Method

  1. Cream the butter and sugar until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Add the egg, vanilla, and water and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour with the sesame and sunflower seeds.
  4. Combine the flour mixture with the liquid components until you get a homogeneous dough.
  5. Form the dough into a ball and sprinkle with pulled sugar.
  6. Fry the dough in a hot pan with a little oil until it becomes golden brown.
  7. Let it cool down and cut into equal pieces.
  8. Lakrid is ready to be enjoyed!
