Lakrid is a traditional sweet from Aalborg, crunchy and sweet, perfect to enjoy after dinner.

Ingredients
- 200 grams of sugar
- 100 grams of flour
- 100 grams of butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of water
- 100 grams of sesame seeds
- 100 grams of sunflower seeds
- 100 grams of pulled sugar
- 1 teaspoon of water
Method
- Cream the butter and sugar until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Add the egg, vanilla, and water and mix well.
- In another bowl, mix the flour with the sesame and sunflower seeds.
- Combine the flour mixture with the liquid components until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Form the dough into a ball and sprinkle with pulled sugar.
- Fry the dough in a hot pan with a little oil until it becomes golden brown.
- Let it cool down and cut into equal pieces.
- Lakrid is ready to be enjoyed!
