Korean Dumplings
Korean dumplings, or mandu, are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect with a warm broth.

Ingredients
- 200 g of flour
- 1 onion
- 100 g of bacon
- 100 g of beef
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of shoyu sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cold water for the dough
- 1 egg for the dough
- Chicken broth for serving
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour with cold water and egg to form a flexible dough.
- Chop the onion and bacon into small cubes and sauté in a pan with sesame oil.
- Add the beef, soy sauce, shoyu sauce, salt, and pepper to taste, and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
- Gather the filling and prepare the mandu, forming small balls of dough with the filling in the center.
- Fry the mandu in a pan with hot oil until they become crispy.
- Serve the mandu with warm chicken broth.
The story
Mandu have a long history in South Korea, introduced during the Joseon Dynasty around 500 years ago as a way to share culinary richness.
