Ingredients

  • 200 g of beef
  • 100 g of pork
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1 egg
  • finely chopped breadcrumbs
  • salt

Method

  1. Mix the beef, pork, minced garlic, chopped onion, red pepper flakes, salt, sugar, wine vinegar, and olive oil in a large bowl.
  2. Add the egg and finely chopped breadcrumbs, mixing well to form a homogeneous dough.
  3. Shape the köfte by hand, making sure not to make them too large.
  4. Lightly tap the köfte with a knife to give them an irregular surface.
  5. Fry the köfte in hot oil until they are golden and crispy.
  6. Serve the köfte hot with a yogurt and chopped onion sauce.
