A traditional Norwegian dish, Kjøttkrydder is a hearty mix of meat and spices, perfect for a warm winter meal.

Ingredients
- 400g of beef
- 200g of chicken
- 100g of bacon
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200g of potatoes
- 100g of peas
- 100g of bell peppers
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 200ml of beef broth
- oil for frying
Method
- In a pan, fry the bacon until it becomes crispy and golden.
- Add the garlic and onion, fry for a few minutes until they become golden.
- Add the meat, season with salt and pepper, and fry until the meat is firm.
- Add the beef broth, cover, and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
- Add the potatoes, peas, and bell peppers, cook for another 10-15 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked.
- Serving: serve hot with a bit of salt and pepper.

Kjøttkrydder is a specialty from the Hedmark region in Norway, with a history dating back to times when meat was a luxury and was preserved with spices to last through the winter.
