Ingredients
- 250 g of flour
- 1 egg
- 150 g of ground meat
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- Water for the broth
- Chopped parsley
- Yogurt sauce
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour with water and egg until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls and pass them through a pasta machine to obtain thin sheets.
- In a pan, sauté the garlic and onion in oil, then add the ground meat and cook over medium heat until the meat is well cooked.
- Add the sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
- Prepare the Mantı by stuffing each pasta sheet with the meat mixture and wrapping it around the filling.
- In a pot, bring the water and broth to a boil, then add the Mantı and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve the Mantı in a warm bowl, garnished with chopped parsley and yogurt.
- Alternatively, the Mantı can be served with a yogurt and parsley sauce, with some sauce on top and some underneath the plates.
