Ingredients

  • 500 g of beef
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 liters of beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 100 g of beans
  • 100 g of peppers

Method

  1. Cut the beef into pieces about 2x2 cm and brown in a pan with a little oil.
  2. Add the onions, carrots, and cucumbers cut into dices and sauté for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the beef broth, black pepper, cayenne pepper, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  5. Finally, add the beans and the peppers cut into pieces. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  6. Hungarian goulash is ready to serve with bread or potatoes.

Soly po węgiersku is a Polish version of the traditional Hungarian soup, named after the importance of Hungary in the country's history.
