Gryta with Fish and Kale

A delicious Svalbard gryta, a warm and nutritious dish made with fish and kale.

Ingredients
- 2 kg of fish (e.g., salmon or tuna)
- 2 kg of kale
- 2 onions
- 2 carrots
- 2 zucchinis
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 teaspoons of chili flakes
- 1 liter of fish broth
- 500 ml of canola oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of ginger
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
Method
- In a large pot, heat the canola oil and sauté the onions, carrots, zucchinis, and garlic until golden.
- Add the fish cut into pieces and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the fish broth, chili flakes, salt, pepper, ginger, and turmeric. Stir well.
- Add the kale cut into pieces and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes or until the fish is fully cooked.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve hot, accompanied by bread or potatoes.
