Ingredients
- 400 g of fresh or frozen strawberries
- 200 g of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g of flour
- 50 g of butter
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 100 g of icing sugar
- 100 g of butter
- 100 g of fresh cream
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Method
- Wash and slice the strawberries, place them in a bowl and add sugar, lemon juice, and a tablespoon of water. Let it sit for 1 hour.
- Prepare the crust: mix flour, butter, and baking powder in a bowl. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the cream: mix the fresh cream, vanilla extract, and most of the icing sugar in a bowl.
- Take a third of the crust preparation and add it to the cream, mixing well. Repeat the operation with the rest of the crust preparation.
- Take a baking tray and cover it with a baking paper. Pour the preparation on the tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the cake cool down and decorate it with the remaining strawberries and icing sugar.
