The Dobos Torte is a unique sweet treat, featuring a caramelized crust and homemade chocolate cream.

Ingredients
- 200 g of dark chocolate
- 150 g of butter
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 g of flour
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 100 g of caramelized sugar
- 100 ml of heavy cream
- 100 g of semi-sweet chocolate
Method
- Melt the chocolate and butter in a pan over medium heat.
- While cooling, beat the eggs with powdered sugar until well combined.
- Add the flour and gently fold in.
- Spread the dough on a baking paper-lined tray.
- Bake in the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.
- Poke the cake with a spoon to create channels.
- Warm the semi-sweet chocolate and cream together and pour over the cake.
- Allow to cool, then decorate with chocolate cream and fresh fruit.
The story
Invented in 1880 by József Dobos, a baker from Budapest, the Dobos Torte quickly gained popularity for its exquisite taste and beautiful appearance.
