Ingredients

  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 150 g of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of flour
  • 100 g of powdered sugar
  • 100 g of caramelized sugar
  • 100 ml of heavy cream
  • 100 g of semi-sweet chocolate

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. While cooling, beat the eggs with powdered sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the flour and gently fold in.
  4. Spread the dough on a baking paper-lined tray.
  5. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.
  6. Poke the cake with a spoon to create channels.
  7. Warm the semi-sweet chocolate and cream together and pour over the cake.
  8. Allow to cool, then decorate with chocolate cream and fresh fruit.

The story

Invented in 1880 by József Dobos, a baker from Budapest, the Dobos Torte quickly gained popularity for its exquisite taste and beautiful appearance.
