Ingredients

  • 4 Copenhagen sausages
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 100 ml of beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 bay leaf

Method

  1. In a pan, sauté the garlic and onion in a bit of olive oil.
  2. Add the Copenhagen sausages and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and add salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Finally, add the bay leaf and let infuse for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with a slice of bread or as a main course.

Copenhagen pølser have a history dating back to the 18th century, when they were served as breakfast for local fishermen. Today, they are a symbol of Danish cuisine.
