Ingredients

  • 200 g of red lentils
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chili
  • 250 g of flour
  • 250 g of butter
  • 250 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons of ground pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Condiments of your choice

Method

  1. Rinse the red lentils and cook them in salted water for 30 minutes. Drain and let them cool.
  2. In a pan, sauté the chili, garlic, and onions in butter.
  3. Add the red lentils, ground pepper, and salt. Stir well and cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour with water and salt to form a smooth dough.
  5. Shape small balls of dough and fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Serve the chole with warm bhature, accompanied by condiments of your choice.
  7. Enjoy your meal!
