Ingredients

  • 200 g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 200 g of pork lard
  • 300 g of chicken, rolled
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 100 g of sliced vegetables (tomato, red onion)
  • 50 g of chicken broth
  • 100 g of grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, egg, and pork lard until you get a homogeneous dough.
  2. Meanwhile, in another bowl, mix the chicken, finely chopped onion, sliced vegetables, chicken broth, grated cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll the dough into thin slices and stuff with the chicken mixture.
  4. Fry the empanadas in plenty of hot oil until they are crispy and golden.
  5. Serve them hot with a bit of tomato sauce or soy sauce, if you like.
