Ingredients
- 200 g of beef
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 egg
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 100 g of breadcrumbs
- 100 g of stale bread
- 100 g of pork fat
- 2 cups of bread soaked in cold water
Method
- Make the beef ragù: sauté the garlic and onion in a bit of olive oil, add the beef and cook until well done.
- Prepare the filling: mix the beef, onion, garlic, egg, baking powder, red pepper, salt, and breadcrumbs.
- Form the frikadeller: knead the filling, add the pork fat and soaked bread crumbs, and form the croquettes.
- Fry the frikadeller: fry the croquettes in hot oil until crispy and golden.
- Serve: serve the frikadeller hot with your preferred sauce.
