  • 200 g of beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 100 g of breadcrumbs
  • 100 g of stale bread
  • 100 g of pork fat
  • 2 cups of bread soaked in cold water

Method

  1. Make the beef ragù: sauté the garlic and onion in a bit of olive oil, add the beef and cook until well done.
  2. Prepare the filling: mix the beef, onion, garlic, egg, baking powder, red pepper, salt, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Form the frikadeller: knead the filling, add the pork fat and soaked bread crumbs, and form the croquettes.
  4. Fry the frikadeller: fry the croquettes in hot oil until crispy and golden.
  5. Serve: serve the frikadeller hot with your preferred sauce.
