Arroz con Pollo
A traditional Cuban dish that blends the flavor of chicken with rice in a delicious broth.

Ingredients
- 500 g of chicken, cut into pieces
- 200 g of rice
- 200 ml of chicken broth
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 200 ml of water
- 100 ml of palm oil
- 2 basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder
Method
- In a pan, heat the palm oil and sauté the onions and garlic until they become golden.
- Add the chicken and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and water, bringing to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer on medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
- In another pan, fry the rice in a little oil.
- When the rice is golden, add the rice to the broth with the chicken, basil leaves, salt, and pepper, and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Finally, add the chili powder and gently stir.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
