A classic of Argentinean cuisine, the Bife de Chorizo is a delightful grilled steak filled with spiced meat.

Ingredients

  • 2 beef steaks (about 400g each)
  • 500g of ground beef
  • 100g of raw chorizo
  • 50g of beaten egg
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • olive oil

  • black pepper

Method

  1. Mix the ground beef with chopped onion, minced garlic, spices, and beaten egg.
  2. Cut the raw chorizo into thin strips.
  3. Insert the strips of chorizo into the center of the beef steaks.
  4. Fill the steaks with the ground beef mixture.
  5. Refrigerate the steaks for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Grill the steaks over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the center is warm.
  7. Serve hot with salt and black pepper.
