This Canadian treat is a delicious, crunchy pastry filled with maple syrup and butter.

Ingredients
- 800g of pastry dough
- 150g of butter
- 200ml of maple syrup
- 100g of superfine sugar
- 100g of cream
- 100g of pecan halves
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Method
- Prepare the pastry dough and form small tart shells.
- In a bowl, mix the butter, maple syrup, sugar, cream, cinnamon, and salt.
- Clean the pecan halves and add them to the butter mixture.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture into each tart shell and bake in a preheated oven until the pastry puffs.
- Let cool and serve warm.
