  • 400 g of wild blackberries
  • 400 g of Granny Smith apples
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
  • 100 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 100 g of crumble topping
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 100 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar

Method

  1. Clean the wild blackberries and cut them into pieces. Wash and dice the Granny Smith apples.
  2. In a bowl, mix the blackberries, apples, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Prepare the crumble base by mixing the flour, butter, and powdered sugar.
  4. Then prepare the crumble topping by adding the crumble topping ingredients.
  5. Fry the crumble topping in a little butter and add it to the mixed fruit.
  6. Bake the fruit for 20-25 minutes at 180°C.
  7. Mix the crumble topping and place it on top of the fruit.
  8. Bake for another 20-25 minutes at 180°C until the topping is golden and crunchy.

Blackberry and apple crumble is an English tradition dating back to colonial times in America, when settlers brought seeds of these fruits to cultivate them in New England.
