Ingredients

  • 200 g of minced pork
  • 4 toasted bread rolls
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tablespoons of garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Layered ricotta salata
  • Layered mozzarella cheese
  • Aromatic herbs of choice (oregano, parsley)

Method

  1. Peel and dice the onions into cubes.
  2. In a pan, sauté the onions in olive oil and add the minced pork.
  3. Stir well and cook over medium heat until the meat is well done.
  4. Cut the bread rolls in half and place a layer of ricotta salata on each half.
  5. Place the meat on top of the ricotta and add a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Sprinkle with garlic sauce and barbecue sauce, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover with the other half of the bread roll and cook over medium heat until the bread is golden.
  8. Serve hot.
